Spin the Bottle
Tap the bottle to spin
No bottle? No problem. Put your phone in the middle of the group, give it a spin, and let it decide who goes next.
How to play
- Set how many people are playing, from 2 to 12. Tap Names to add names, or play with numbers.
- Sit in a circle and put the phone in the middle, or just pass it around.
- Tap the bottle to spin it, or press the space bar on a computer.
- Whoever the bottle points to is up. Choose Truth or Dare for a prompt, or use your own rules.
The bottle never picks the same person twice in a row, so nobody gets stuck in the hot seat.

- Let the person who spun choose for you.
- Spin again if the whole group agrees you already did your share.

- Whoever it picks makes the next round of snacks.
- Whoever it picks chooses the music for the next ten minutes.
Be nice
- Give the person a real compliment.
- Tell the group your favorite memory with them.
- Thank them for something they probably forgot.
- Ask them a question nobody has ever asked them.
Quick challenges
- Tell a joke within ten seconds.
- Do your best impression of the person who spun.
- Sing the next line of whatever song the group picks.
- Name five things in a category the group picks, in ten seconds.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play spin the bottle online?
Open this page, set the number of players and tap the bottle. It spins and stops on one player at random. Everyone needs to be together, sharing one screen, or on a video call where one person shares their screen.
Can I add names to the bottle spinner?
Yes. Tap Names and type a name for each player, up to 12 characters each. The names stay in your browser and are gone when you close the page.
Is the spin really random?
Yes. Each spin uses your browser's secure random number generator to pick a player, with one rule on top: the bottle will not pick the same person twice in a row.
Is this a kissing game?
Traditionally, spin the bottle was. This version is not: it offers family-friendly truths and dares and leaves any other rules to you. Nobody should ever have to do something they are not comfortable with, so skipping is always fine.
Is it free? Do I need to install anything?
It is free, with nothing to install and no account. It works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
