Wheel Spinner
Tap the wheel to spin
Who goes first? What is for dinner? Type the options, spin the wheel, and nobody can argue with the result.
How to use it
- Type your names or options in the box, one per line. The wheel redraws as you type.
- Tap the wheel to spin it, or press the space bar on a computer.
- The entry under the pointer when the wheel stops is the one it picked.
- Picking in turn? Switch on Remove the winner. Each pick leaves the wheel on the next spin, and the page keeps the order for you. Put them all back starts again.
Tap Share this wheel to send a filled wheel to someone, so a class or a team can use the same list.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a wheel spinner with names?
Tap Clear, then type one name on each line of the box. Every line becomes a slice of the wheel straight away. You can also paste a list from a spreadsheet or a group chat, as long as each name is on its own line.
Is the spin really random and fair?
Yes. Each spin uses your browser's secure random number generator to choose an entry before the wheel moves, and every slice has the same chance. The wheel then stops inside that slice, so what you see under the pointer is always the announced result.
How can I pick names one at a time without repeats?
Switch on Remove the winner. The picked entry stays on the wheel until your next spin, so everyone can see the result, and then it leaves the wheel. The picks build up into a numbered order, which works well for classroom turns or presentation slots.
How do I use it to make teams?
Switch on Remove the winner and spin through the whole list, sending each pick to the next team in turn. With two teams, the first pick goes to the first team, the second pick to the second team, and so on.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
From 2 up to 100. Text gets smaller as the slices get thinner, and a very long entry is shortened on the wheel. The full entry still shows when it is picked, and while the wheel turns you can read each entry as it passes the pointer.
Can I share my wheel?
Yes. Share this wheel sends a link on WhatsApp, and Copy link copies the same link. It carries your list, so anyone who opens it gets the same wheel and can see the entries. Save that link if you want to come back to a wheel later.
Do you save my names?
No. Your list stays in your browser and is gone when you close or reload the page. In a share link the list comes after the #, a part of a link that browsers do not send to our server.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free, with no account and nothing to install. It works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and on a classroom screen.

We normally do WhatsApp for a living.
Oxtro gives businesses a shared WhatsApp inbox, campaigns and a messaging API on a number they already own. This game is what we made when we wanted a break from all that.
